Description
The Tiny RTC I2C Module DS1307 is a compact and cost-effective real-time clock solution designed for basic timekeeping applications. It uses the DS1307 RTC chip to maintain accurate date and time information and includes a 24C32 EEPROM for additional data storage.
This module communicates via the I2C interface, requiring only two wires (SDA and SCL) for connection to microcontrollers such as Arduino, Raspberry Pi, AVR, and PIC.
It features a battery backup system using a CR2032 battery, allowing the clock to continue running even when the main power supply is removed. While not as precise as DS3231, it is widely used in general-purpose applications where moderate accuracy is sufficient.
Its small size and easy interfacing make it ideal for beginners and low-cost projects.
